As the war continues with Russia invading Ukraine, we are hearing more and more stories of those escaping the country. However, not everyone is able to find refuge in neighboring nations, so they are forced to stay and hope for peace and resolution.

A video shared to Reddit is showing a group of Ukrainian people singing the popular hymn “It Is Well With My Soul”, and the beauty of hearing this hymn as worship by those in the thick of war brings chills:

For those who may be unaware, the classic hymn “It Is Well With My Soul” was written by Horatio G. Spafford, shortly after losing his four children when the ship they were traveling on sunk. When he was traveling to be reunited with his wife who survived the tragedy, he wrote “It Is Well With My Soul” shortly after his ship traveled over the location where his kids passed away.
