Christian parents mean well. They try their best with their kids to raise them in a loving, faithful home.

However, a few months ago, I asked a huge group of Christians what their parents banned from their house growing up, and here are the most common that I found…

1. Rugrats

When my wife told me that her parents banned Rugrats from her house growing up, I laughed because I assumed this was specific to her family. HUNDREDS of your responses said the exact same thing. Whether the reason was because of Angelica “not representing Christian values”, or because of babies having “full thoughts, which isnt aligned in Scripture”, this is something that a lot of Christian Parents despised.

2. Pokemon

*gasp* EVOLUTION *gasp* POCKET MONSTERS = DEMONS *gasp*

This innocent show about friendship and raising cute animals to battle each other to near death was the last straw for many Christian parents. One person even sent in that when he got a stuffed Pikachu as a gift, his mom made him set fire to it while he watched in the backyard.

3. Spongebob Squarepants

Ever since Focus on the Family wrote an article on how Spongebob was indoctrinating our children to be gay and feminine, Christians have been banning this show from their home, but to be completely honest, shouldn’t they be more bothered by the fact that a squirrel is going against the laws of nature by living under the ocean?

4. Arthur

Not many Christian parents had an issue with Arthur himself, but they DID find issue with his irritable sister D.W. She constantly talked back, was rude to everyone, and, according to one Christian parent, is “more like a Jezebel than a Jesus”
