New Years Eve is coming up, and everyone loves to celebrate in very different ways. Some are asleep by 8pm, others spend all night partying. But how do YOU celebrate?
The enneagram is a great fun way to help understand yourself as well as the motivations and personalities of those we love. If you haven’t taken the assessment yet, this is a great place to see which of the 9 personality types you fall under.
Enneagram 1
Spends New Year’s Eve deep cleaning their apartment and organizing spots they don’t normally get to. Theres no better way to start a new year than with everything in it’s rightful place.
Enneagram 2
Spends New Year’s Eve cooking and getting ready to have people over. They’re not throwing a big party (just a few close friends), but cooking and planning as if it was 100 people all eating multiple servings. Everyone will be going home with a ton of leftovers
Enneagram 3
Spends New Years Eve getting ready for the party they’re going to, but making sure their outfit is on point. After checking to make sure they didn’t miss any work emails, a quick Target run to bring some extra noisemakers in case the host forgot
Enneagram 4
Spends New Year’s Eve sitting in their home, silently scrolling through Instagram, smiling as they relive all the memories of the year, but also filled with sadness that the year is over. As the clock gets closer to midnight, the sadness turns to hope, as they think about the beauty of possibility in a new year.
Enneagram 5
Spends New Year’s Eve talking with friends at a party, but ends up sitting off to the side reading about how the new Spider-man movie was made because one person made a comment about one of the actors. After falling into another rabbit hole, they snap out of it just in time to countdown to midnight.
Enneagram 6
Spends New Years Eve looking at their watch trying to figure out how much sleep they’ll be missing because they’re staying up later than usual, while reminding everyone that there are usually more cops on the street on New Years Eve, so drive careful.
Enneagram 7
Spends New Years Eve still unsure of which party they’re going to go to, and overthinking where they want to be at midnight, but why would they worry so soon? Let’s just wait and see what happens and they’ll decide later, even though they’ll still have FOMO for whatever they didn’t pick
Enneagram 8
Spends New Year’s Eve quietly judging everyone at the party for not cleaning up after themselves and leaving cups and plates all over. Also, mentally judging people for double dipping, but smiling and acting like it doesn’t bother them
Enneagram 9
Spends New Year’s Eve listening to everyone share their resolutions and encouraging them that yes, they can definitely lose 100 lbs. this year, even though they know they’ll give up in a week.
Happy New Year!
